8th grade party permission slips are due THIS THURSDAY!
Students have had 2 weeks to turn in permission slips for the BHS pool party. If we do not have their permission slip they will not be part of the party on lower field, including In N Out, and they will not be walking to BHS for the pool party. Extra slips are in the counseling office and can be turned in to the counseling office.
8th grade parents are NOT allowed to pick students up early from Muir on that day. Students not wanting to attend the pool portion of the party should turn in a permission slip, walk to BHS, and have parents pick them up from there.

Muir IMA Awarded $4,000!
Congratulations to the Muir Instrumental Music Association which has been awarded a grant in the amount of $4,000 from the Burbank Arts for All Foundation! The award will be used to purchase new saxophones.

Muir Awarded the Prestigious Dr. Bowman Professional Development Grant!
John Muir Middle School has been awarded $3,500 by the Burbank Arts for All Foundation to be used towards building a Digital Media Arts Program. The Dr. Bowman Grant is possible due to allocated funds by retired BUSD superintendent, Dr. Gregory Bowman, and is used to support professional arts development for BUSD teachers. This generous grant will allow for teacher planning & development days and instruction from Freshi Media.
